The current official answer for a Seychellois ordinary passport is elegantly short: visa-free for up to 30 days. A tourist invitation would support a visa application that this covered trip does not need.
Keep the short answer accurate
Count the intended stay carefully and confirm that the purpose fits a visitor exemption. Work, study and residence remain category-specific. A 31-day plan is not repaired by calling the final day a departure buffer.
Before departure
Recheck the live MFA table, passport validity, airline transit requirements, insurance and accommodation. Plan for migration registration after arrival; hotels commonly handle notification, while a private host may need to act.
Check ruID separately. Russia’s current experiment asks many visa-free entrants to verify whether an advance declaration applies, normally 72 hours before entry, subject to official emergency timing and exceptions. The live Gosuslugi instructions decide scope; a completed declaration does not lengthen the 30-day visa-free stay.
Residents and dual nationals
Residence in Seychelles does not transfer Seychellois visa-free rights to another passport. Dual nationals should calculate the route for the passport they will actually use and keep that choice consistent.
Exemption is not an e‑visa
Both routes can avoid a regular visa, but they are not interchangeable. A covered Seychellois traveller relies on the bilateral exemption and does not file an e‑visa application merely to feel safer. Preserve the current official rule, travel dates and passport choice instead. If the exemption does not cover the purpose or duration, recalculate the route rather than layering documents from different categories.
