Price before payment
Classic from €2/day; Premium from €3/day for ages 8–69. Children and older travellers use the age rates shown in the table. Single trips up to 30 days; longer or multiple trips and additional cover are quoted separately.
The estimate is not a purchased policy. Send the dates and one birth year for each traveller; no passport scan is needed for a quote. If you have several trips planned, tell us about each one. We check the required period before offering cover.
Insurance requirements for your visa
| Check | What to look for |
|---|---|
| Russian territory | Cover must be valid in Russia, not exclude it in the policy wording. |
| Dates | The e-visa requires cover for the whole stay, subject to official reciprocity exemptions. |
| Regular visa | Follow your filing office’s checklist. Dublin requires a copy of the policy covering the whole journey, with its details entered in the application. |
| Coverage amount | Use the amount specified by your consulate, if any. Send us that checklist so we can check the offer against it. |

Whether insurance is mandatory depends on your passport and visa type. Start with your passport page and the instructions of the consulate handling your application.
Cover and exclusions
Check cover for emergency medical care, hospitalisation and repatriation. Before payment, read the proposed policy wording, limits and exclusions. Tell us about activities or medical circumstances that may need additional cover. We confirm what the insurer can offer; the calculator does not establish those terms.
How to order
- Send dates and birth years. Include every traveller and any consular checklist you already have.
- Review the offer. Check the insurer, named travellers, premium, dates, territory, limits and exclusions. Payment follows confirmation.
- Receive the policy by email. We confirm the delivery timing with the offer. Check the document before using it for your application or trip.
Avoid these mistakes
- Cover starting after arrival or ending before departure.
- A policy that excludes Russia despite a broad territory label.
- A name or passport detail that does not match the passport.
- A medical limit or certificate that has not been checked against the filing instructions.
Already insured? Ask your insurer for written confirmation of the territory and travel dates before ordering duplicate cover. Read our insurance checklist for a closer look at certificates and assistance contacts.
Common questions
Does the policy have to match my visa dates exactly?
It must cover the required days of your stay in Russia. The e-visa rule concerns the actual stay, not all 120 days of visa validity. For a regular or multiple-entry visa, check the dates required by your consulate.
Can I use insurance I already have?
Check that it covers Russia, every traveller and the required dates. Compare its certificate and terms with your consulate’s checklist, and ask the insurer to confirm anything unclear before buying another policy.
Do children need cover too?
Include every child in the insurance request and confirm that each is named as an insured person. Do not assume that a parent’s policy includes a child.
Is insurance required for the Russian e-visa?
Yes, for the whole stay in Russia, unless an official reciprocity exemption applies. This is stated in paragraph 19 of the Russian MFA e-visa instructions.
