Common questions

How long can I stay in Russia with the unified e-visa?

Under the current official instructions, no more than 30 days. The e-visa can be valid for 120 days, but validity and permitted stay are different limits.

How early can I apply?

The current portal states that applications may be submitted from 86 days until 4 days before intended entry. Applying at the four-day edge leaves almost no correction margin.

Do I need an invitation or hotel confirmation?

No. The official unified e-visa instructions do not require an invitation, hotel confirmation or similar proof of purpose. The form still asks for trip and stay information.

Can my child travel on my e-visa?

No. A separate e-visa application is required for each child travelling with a parent, even where the child is included in the parent’s passport.
