A tourist file has an order
Start with the receiving post, not the payment page. Once jurisdiction is clear, obtain the tourist support it accepts and use that document to complete the official application.

- cities and accommodation;
- number of entries;
- real purpose;
- host organisation and reference.
An invitation supports these facts. It cannot rescue contradictory ones.
Cameroon and the French-language filing question
French-language guidance is useful, but language is not jurisdiction. A Cameroonian citizen living in Cameroon should check the Russian mission serving Cameroon. A citizen lawfully resident in France, Belgium or Canada must verify whether the selected post receives resident non-citizens and what proof of residence it requests.

Staying with a friend does not automatically force a private visa; genuine tourists can use accommodation that is not a hotel when the route and local instructions allow it. But a personal visit, commercial meetings and paid work are not interchangeable simply because they share an address in Moscow.
