What the central source establishes

The short answer, without the sales pitch

For an ordinary Finland passport, tourism, business meetings, private visits and certain cultural, scientific or sporting trips may fit the unified e-visa. It is single-entry, valid for 120 days from issue and permits no more than 30 days in Russia. File on the official portal from 86 to 4 days before entry. A hotel confirmation or invitation is not part of this route.

Entry route and application checklist are different questions.

This separation prevents the most common country-page error: copying one embassy checklist and presenting it as a worldwide rule.

What changes when the trip changes?

01 / Visa-free route

Short qualifying visit

Finland ordinary passports have no general visa-free entry in the current central record. A voucher cannot create an exemption.

02 / Unified e-visa

Up to 30 days, one entry

Finland is on the current unified e-visa list: one entry, no more than 30 days, an eligible purpose and an approved checkpoint. No invitation is required.

03 / Regular visa

Regular tourist or business visa

A Finland traveller can still need a regular visa when the stay, entries or real purpose fall outside the simpler route shown above.

04

Longer, repeated or different trip

More than 30 days, more than one entry or a purpose outside the e-visa list normally means a regular visa and category-specific support.

05

Work and study are not tourism

Finland: Paid work and study normally begin with the Russian employer or educational institution. Re-labelling the trip to fit a simpler product creates an inconsistent application.

{ prices by passport · no default }

Tourist invitation prices for Finland

For Finland, the price is capped at an exact matching public-market tariff rounded down to the whole euro; an already lower price is kept. Where that benchmark does not sell the same country, duration and entries, the Global Voyage database or the existing country review rate remains in place.

A price does not mean an invitation is needed. Follow the visa-free or e-visa route above when it covers the actual trip.

What must be checked with the application post

Finland: Passport nationality alone cannot answer these items. Before submission, identify the mission or visa centre with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of lawful residence and confirm:

  1. 01

    Finland · whether that post accepts the application and what proves lawful residence;

  2. 02

    For Finland, confirm the digital portrait, passport-page image, insurance and selected checkpoint against the live e-visa portal; do not add an invitation.

  3. 03

    its current passport-validity, blank-page, photo and application-form rules;

  4. 04

    which category-specific support it accepts, including whether the 372-r hotel route applies;

  5. 05

    insurance wording, fee, payment method, appointment and processing options;

  6. 06

    rules for minors, non-citizen residents and group applications.
